Is the travel time to guys long? Is public transport reliable enough for it? And for someone having to travel most days what payment method would you recommend? (Oyster, pay as you go, etc.) Thank you

The Common team here. Angel Lane is in Stratford, so treat it as a commute rather than a walk: Guy's is over two hours on foot, but Stratford station is about an 8 minute walk from the building and the Jubilee line runs straight to London Bridge, which is a few minutes from Guy's. Realistically that is around 35 to 45 minutes door to door, and reliable most days — Stratford is one of the best connected stations in London, so if one line is down you have alternatives. On payment: contactless and Oyster charge identical pay-as-you-go fares with the same daily and weekly caps, so use whichever you find easier. A 18+ Student Oyster card does not discount pay-as-you-go — it gives 30 percent off Travelcards and Bus & Tram passes, so it only pays off if you travel most days, which sounds like you. Worth noting our 3 Angel Lane reviews score it 4.07 out of 5 with all 3 recommending it, though noise came up as an issue.
